What is the Sustainable
Leather Forum?
Consumers of leather products, and of fashion more generally, are increasingly aware of the values championed by labels.
Preserving know-how and expertise, ensuring local and regional production, protecting natural resources, promoting animal well-being, adopting short supply chains and respecting the value chain: companies in the leather sector, whether major groups, SMEs or middle-market companies, are already implementing actions in these areas.
The Sustainable Leather Forum will showcase best practices in the leather sector in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility, from a social, environmental and economic perspective.
The subjects discussed

Vegan movement and animal welfare

Deforestation, carbon footprint and Leather Life Cycle analysis

Sustainable production and sourcing in sport and leisure markets

Transparency and consumer information: positive ways to communicate with stakeholders
